Forgotten Tales – All The
Sinners
A couple of years ago, I reviewed Forgotten Tales' debut "The
Promise" and gave it an essentially positive review. Recently, these
Canadians released their second album, "All The
Sinners", with producers Martin Desharnais & René Pineault
sitting in the control room. The recording and mixing were done in Quebec (Canada) under the supervision of Pierre Talbot. The style is still Melodic
Power Metal: fast tempos, sharp guitar riffs and catchy songs with some
symphonic metal influences. The production, without being perfect, is more
powerful and it just sounds more convincing in general. The songs are more
mature, tighter and more interesting than those on the band's debut. The vocal
melodies are also improved, suiting the songs well. Recommended
for fans of Dark Moor, Edguy, Stratovarius and Rhapsody.
